Web Tools

The Web Tools were developed by Z. Wagner -- Ice Bear Soft. The tools are presented here. No fee is required for their use.

The tools are in beta testing state. After some testing period their source files will be freely available.

The programs are written in Perl5 and tested under OS/2 3.0 and 4.0. They should run on any UNIX machine. Unfortunately, Perl implementation for Windows, which I found on Internet, does not understand object oriented code. Therefore these tools cannot be used in Windows.

This server offers the following tools:

Form testing tool is a simple echo program. It gets the response from a form and displays parsed variables. It enables you to see what your form sends to the CGI script. It is an interesting tool for examining why the CGI script does not work.
Link Checker is a script which can scan an HTML page residing on any server and verify whether all frames, images and hypertext links refer to existing resources. It can automatically check all referenced pages on the same server. Validity of links may thus be verified almost by a single click.
